Belonging in Practice
At Black Blanket, we believe in cultivating a shared space where families can play, grow, and connect in harmony. These guidelines are designed to help ensure a serene, joyful, and elevated experience for all who gather here.
1. Welcoming your Family
Membership is designed for your immediate household: named caregivers and their children.
Please check in upon arrival. Staff are here to greet you and support your visit.
We encourage presence over rushing. Stay as long or as briefly as feels right for your family.
2. Community Standards
Kindness and respect are expected in all interactions—with staff, other families, and the space itself.
We embrace a community that is inclusive, warm, and welcoming to all.
In the rare case of repeated disregard for these guidelines, we reserve the right to reevaluate membership.
3. Health & Well-being
If anyone in your household is feeling unwell, we kindly ask you to visit another day.
Socks-only zones must be respected. No outdoor shoes in play or lounge areas.
Caregivers must remain onsite and supervise their children at all times with the exception of drop-in child care and enrichment classes.
4. Play & Space Etiquette
Treat materials, structures, and furnishings with care.
Encourage shared play and respect for other families’ space.
Quiet zones and lounge nooks are intended for reflection and calm. Please be mindful of volume in these areas.
5. Enrichment Classes & Workshops
Classes are offered at preferred member pricing and require advance registration.
We ask that you arrive on time to maintain the flow of each session.
Please note that all class payments are non-refundable once processed.
6. Guest & Visitors
Members may invite guests with advance notice.
Please check with our team for current guest allowances.
All guests must sign a waiver prior to entry.
Guests must remain with their host member throughout the visit.
7. Celebrations & Private Events
Our Celebration Suite is available for private bookings. Reservations may be made through your member portal.
We ask that events conclude on time and that the space is treated with the same care as our shared areas.
8. Lounge & Café Courtesy
Outside food is not permitted. Our café is thoughtfully curated to accommodate a range of tastes and dietary preferences.
Families with medical or allergy-related dietary restrictions may bring approved food items.
Food and drink are allowed only in designated areas.
Please keep phone use discreet and avoid screens in play zones.
Phone booths are available throughout the facility for calls or virtual meetings while your child is in drop-in care or enrichment classes.
9. Membership Management
You may cancel at any time after your initial commitment period.
Refunds are not issued for unused time.
By becoming a member of Black Blanket, you help uphold the thoughtful spirit and shared values that make this space so special. Thank you for being part of our community.
